When you first begin yoga, there are several things you can do to make your experience positive. Teaching is a wonderful opportunity to enrich your life, and make a difference in the lives of others.
Balance in eating, balance in drinking, balance in exercise, balance in purporting yourself. Yoga isn't a discipline that can be taught without extensive knowledge and training. Imagine being able to inspire that same sense of delight and accomplishment in others.
Those who practice regularly report increased flexibility, improved muscle tone, an overall sense of well being and a decrease in stress. Try to always breathe through your nose. If, at any time during a pose, you find that you cannot breathe deeply, either ease up or come out of the pose.
You can be fully present with whatever you are doing instead of worrying about tomorrow or regretting yesterday. Find a little time to dedicate to it every day and you will begin to feel more calm, certain and relaxed than you thought possible.
